Yeah, we did not because since they were part of with the area in probation, all that, with the juveniles, and we didn't really have anything to do with them unless we were investigating them.

And I was out of there pretty shortly after that but never you know not able to track

you know whether that was effective or not just don't know but I do notice watching

I mean people. Let me ask you after going through that did you think about breaking the law

I think I went the right direction. Yeah. Well so you said you did that you hurried because you had the you know you had paperwork to do at Pittsburgh so how long did it take you from the time you applied to the time you got on Pittsburgh PD. I would say it took probably

close to a about a year almost like with DEA. DEA was very methodical, very

slow and very good with the way that they hired you. But Pittsburgh police, yeah but

when it happened it happened in whirlwind. I waited about a year.

When I went to take the test at Pittsburgh, I drove all the way from over in Western Ohio,

so about a five hour drive, showed up at the Convention Center,

going back to when we're talking about how popular policing was, how difficult

it was to break in, went to go take the test.

It was at the convention center, like a Van Halen concert in 1984.

There must have been probably close to, think they said 18,000 people for 200

jobs. So I mean I took the test and didn't think anything was ever going to happen with that

many. And being an out-of-towner, because you know there's a little bit of

appetism in some of those back east south. But yeah, about a year, but boy, I'll tell you, you could tell they had a, they had a protocol

in place to keep the out of towners out and to keep the, you know people inside
