and all these office and IBMs and whatever, but I never get the validation and feedback I get. When I go up here, I explain to someone how they can invest in properties. And I get so much love back or like, I've done this or you changed my life. Like I don't get validation like that working in a cubicle. So I was like, let me see if I can do this like full time. I really enjoy helping impact people. And I know in my heart, I was like,

listen, I know this will change a lot of people's lives. It changed mine.

Today, I have an interview for you with Lisa Phillips, who's one of my favorite people in the online real estate investing space. She's got a very popular YouTube channel and podcast and a book

that I will link to in the show description below. But I'm going to talk to Lisa about her beginnings.

When she first started her journey prior to the Great Recession and having a difficult property,

one that she learned a lot on, but then led her to stumbling upon buying properties that are affordable rentals. So lower prices,

sometimes buying them for $30, $40, $50, $60,000 and having those be a path to achieving

financial freedom and independence and letting her leave her corporate job. And we're going to talk

all those details and some of the numbers and also the approach she takes to not only making money for herself, but impacting the communities where she is investing.

So we're going to cover all of that and more in today's interview.
