Y'all like good news? I like good news. We've been following this scenario in the diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina, with Bishop Martin, who has been bishop about a year now. The diocese reportedly went from nine traditional Latin masses to four, and then there was the big dust up where he said, look, I am closing down all four

diocesan and Latin masses to implement Traditionus custodus by Pope Francis to get rid of parish

traditional Latin masses. I'm going to move you trad out of the city, and we're going to give you

an old Protestant worship center, and we're going to give you an old Protestant worship center and we're going to

spend reportedly $700,000 converting that Protestant worship space into a traditional Catholic,

traditional Latin Mass Catholic venue. That's $700,000. I don't understand why you'd spend that much to move

everybody out of the city. It looked like persecution. And there was a giant outcry, not just in the

United States, but globally, because this looks like a crackdown, a straight up persecution. And not only that, but Bishop Martin, there was a

leaked document of his plans to restrict the Novus Ordomass. No candles on the altar, no crucifix

on the altar, no Latin in the Novus Ordo, even no Vatican 2 says Latin is to be

retained, and all sort of draconian impositions on the Novus Ordo. And so this has become ground

zero for unfortunate liturgy war. But we have good news today. Bishop Martin was going to shut these down

starting July 8th, and he is now announced a delay. And as you saw on the title of today's

podcast, I think it has something to do with Pope Leo, because Pope Leo recently met with

Cardinal Roche, who's in charge of worship,

liturgy, and sacraments. And in conjunction with that meeting, we now have a revision by

Bishop Martin saying, I'm going to delay this. And he adds, if Pope Leo gives further instructions, I'll correspond to those

instructions, which has everybody, like myself, excited thinking maybe Pope Leo met with Cardinal

Roche and said, hey, what's, what is going on in America? My home country, the internet, the blogs, the podcast. Everybody's commenting on this

crisis in Charlotte. This is the last thing we need in the first month of my pontificate, put in a

call. I'm just speaking hypothetically here. This is my like dream scenario. And Cardinal Roche says,

yes, your holiness, yes will i will take care of this
