So last night we had an intimate, very special book signing with Amber Scora.

I learned about Amber Scora when my wife Margie sent me a link to a New York Times article

where she talked a little bit about her journey, her time as Jova's Witness and her experience

is leaving the Jova's Witness movement.

And so I got her book and the book is called Leaving the Witness and it's an amazing book

and I listened to it on audiobook and unaudible and I was really profoundly moved not just

at her Militulus voice and the wisdom that she shared but I was struck by the parallels

between her journey in the Jova's Witness movement and in Mormonism.

And so as I started coming together I thought wouldn't it be amazing if we could not only

have a bunch of people from our community share their experiences and their wisdom but

what if we could bring people from outside of our tradition to also share with us what

they've learned and how they have figured out ways to heal and grow and even find community

beyond their traditions as well.
