That was just her terrible way to finish the race.

You ever want to spin out and crash, but sometimes I guess it's going to happen.

First off, we were really surprised by how handling was such a factor in the race on Sunday.

The reason why that was such a curveball is because we ran down limited at night.

We now run the duels at night.

The duels we used to run at the daytime and that was such a good measuring stick to how your car was handling and how much work you needed to do.

It's really got a lot of guys scrambling to do a lot more practice on Friday and Saturday.

Well, now we run the duels at night mainly because the networks like that time slot, we all don't really handle bad.

Our car is handling good at night and so nobody's freaking out and there's no practicing on Friday and Saturday and then we race on Sunday and everybody's surprised.

The cars were really, really tight off of the term 4.

A little bit tight off of term 2, but the wind was really the big factor for why it was tight off of 4.

A lot of guys are loose. At Daytona, you trim the cars out. So what you're doing is trying to drop the back of the car.

You pull the fenders in on the front so you don't really have much down force. You flatten out the splitter.

You do a lot of things just for pure speed and a straight line.

So the cars and a lot of guys are really loose and a lot of guys are really tight.

The 24 spun out, he pushed and then snapped and the 22 saw him pushing real bad off of term 4 after a few laps.

But I think that's why the load line was so good. We've been using the top and making the top work real good and all the races all through speed weeks.

But for whatever reason, the load line was where you had to be. The outside worked at the end of the race and I thought it was working for me right before we wrecked.

The Gibbs cars got up there and got up front and they just held that track position. I think once you get up front, it's real hard for somebody to get up there and take it from you.

That's where we needed to be but we couldn't hold it. We couldn't stay there.
