Hello ladies and gentlemen you're listening to Luke's English podcast now it's quite

early in the morning and I'm sort of still half asleep slightly but I've just

woken up and I checked my mobile and of course as normal I had a load of

messages on there waiting for me. One of them was on Twitter from Elizabeth Thompson and she asked me the question

what about the what about all the 2012 predictions do you think the world is going to end on Friday?

Because everyone else is talking about it?

And yes, Elizabeth, well not yes I think the world's going to end. That's not true. I don't really think it's going to end

but yes you're right everyone is talking about the end of the world this coming Friday

there are lots of theories going around that somehow there's going to be

Some sort of cataclysmic event which is going to bring about the end of the world

It's it's really kind of panicking a lot of people.

Apparently in different countries all over the world there are various crazy things happening.

Some people are stocking up on like food and other things that they can use to to survive just in case

the end of the world does I suppose for those people if the end of the world comes that basically means

the shops will be closed that's their version of the end of the world I mean why

would you if the end of the world is coming why would you go out and buy lots of bread and water? If the world's going to end,

you're not going to be able to eat that bread. It's almost as if they consider the end of the world to mean the time when you won't be able to buy

anything in shops anymore. So yes some people believe that you know they need to

stock up on on food and water and things like that and some people

in France it's some town in France where people are apparently going to gather some kind of mountain because they think
