I read them as an adult because I was on a quest to determine if society had been sleeping on the book series. I said yes. And then I started covering all of the other Percy Jackson, Accoutrema, one of which included the Lightning Thief musical. And I'm here today with none other than Percy Jackson from the off-Broadway revival, the U.S. Tour, the Broadway run. It's Chris McCarroll. Chris, how's it going? Hey, good to e-meat you. Our original e-meeting was, I think, like, two years ago when someone tagged you in a tweet and reply to mine, like, hey, whenever you get to the Percy Jackson Lightning Thief musical, you should have Chris on the pod. And then you were like, yeah, that sounds like a fun time. And then I DM'd like, hi, are you free in two years when I get to? I'm like, if I make it that long, you're, yes, I'm all yours. but i didn't really know the full story of it as far as you getting cast in it obviously you

had broadway experience beforehand but what was the process as you getting cast in it, obviously you had Broadway experience beforehand,

but what was the process for you getting to become Percy Jackson in the Lightning

Thief musical? I just got this email from my agents, which is just kind of the normal thing.

You just get auditions. It's like, hey, in two days, you are going in to meet the team behind

the Lightning Thief musical off Broadway. And I didn't know anything about the books. And
