Hello and welcome to the Teen Life Coach podcast. I'm your host Sammy and today we are going to talk a little bit about complaining.

0:15.0

Hey guys, welcome to the podcast this week. How's it going? Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about complaining

0:23.8

just because I think that this is something that we can all do a better job on. And as I was

0:29.6

working on this podcast and figuring out what to say, I actually noticed so much complaining

0:36.2

that I do in my life that I didn't even realize I was doing.

0:40.8

Okay, so I Googled the word complaining, and the definition that I got was that complaining is the

1:48.3

hurts. The movie could have been better. Okay. So if complaining didn't affect us at all,

1:54.7

I'd say, sure, go ahead and just complain away. Okay. But complaining does affect us, and it affects us in negative ways.

2:04.2

Okay, so first, when we complain, we are teaching our brain that nothing is ever good enough

2:11.1

the way that it is, all right?

2:12.7

And we become problems saturated and learn to focus on all the things that are not right. And the more we do

2:20.9

this, it becomes a habit. And our brains get on this trajectory of always looking for problems.
