So when we last left off, things were going crazy in the North and in the Midlands.

But the very last thing I mentioned was that Hanoorius, the Archbishop of Canterbury,

had died.

Well his seat remained vacant for about six months until the 26th of March, 654, or

maybe 655.

And a new Archbishop was ordained.

Archbishop Deos did it.

And since Deos means God in Latin, I can only assume that Deos did it means God did it.

Okay, all joking aside, Deos did it almost does mean that God did it.

His name actually translates to God has given.

So what I'm getting at here is that his name was, you know, humble.

Anyway, Archbishop Deos did it was fairly notable because he was the first sacks in Archbishop

of Canterbury.

That might surprise you given his name, but as was the custom with this period, you got

a new name when you were ordained.

Though whether this was when he first entered religious life or when he became Archbishop
