And you're joining us in what is probably a heat wave and could even be the hottest day, Leslie Ann, ever recorded in this country. I mean, we are looking

a little later today at temperatures of possibly 100 degrees. I don't know if I will survive. Good morning

to you, Leslie Ann. Good morning to you, Michael. This is tarmac boiling stuff, isn't it? Certainly is. Do you take your car out? Is, are this wheels, tire is going to get stuck to the road?

Yeah, it's one of those, really. I don't do the heat really very well. Do you?

I hate it. There were some places in America I went to once, some people would, you know, show you how clever they were in the heat. Like, for instance, we were in Dallas once, okay, hottest place I've ever, no, Houston it was, sorry, Houston, Texas.

Hottest city I've ever been in in the Western world. I mean, I've been to places like

Beirut and Israel and all that where it gets hot, but that's Middle East. But in the Western

world, never been anywhere hot on Houston. And watching taxi drivers frying eggs on the bonnet of their car, right? You know,

and then, and then eating an egg sandwich and all that kind of stuff. Those sort of things people

did. They literally fried eggs on the pavement or on cars or anything, you know, but...

How horribly unhygienic. Absolutely. Absolutely dreadful. But anyway, there we are. Now, talking about heat,

and I just mentioned Beirut, that's probably because subliminally, I'm so shocked and horrified

at what I've seen, what we've all seen over the last 48 hours. I mean, we think we've got problems

in this country. We're suffering a bit of an economic downturn. People are going to lose their jobs.

But, you know, we haven't had the roofs of our houses blown off. We haven't had the main grain silo blown up, so nobody will have any food after another month. And we haven't rendered

300,000 people homeless without water or electricity. I mean, this is a living nightmare.

It's a shocking situation, isn't it?

I mean, did Beirut need this after 15 years of civil war, economic meltdown, the Syrian refugee crisis, COVID terror attacks, Israel, you know, 1.5 million refugees flooded into Lebanon.

They couldn't cope with that. And now look,

how much more can they take? I was very pleased to see that we're sending five million in aid.
