A lot of the days have events that are named fairly innocuous things, like intro to calisthenics,

which sounds fairly simple. Like it should just be like, okay, here's how you do like, you know, a good push-up, break 93s, or a good pull up, hit the bar to the cladicle.

But the instructors find ways to make it fairly tortuous.

People always say, like, you know, I went through on like the last the last hard class. I think I went through, like, on one of the last easy classes. So now it's probably

much more difficult. So if you're attempting it, I think you're probably going to experience,

like, not quite the dial being turned up, like, gradually. Maybe the dial being, you know,

jacked up, right really high at the start. We were partnered with an Afghan militia unit called the VRU, which stood for Village Response

Unit.

That was led by a guy named Ozzy Zula Karwan, who was kind of like a, at least in this

part of Afghanistan, kind of a very notorious figure. He was an ethnic Tajik,

so to other Tajik's, he was kind of like a national hero, to a lot of Pashtun. He was a opponent,

kind of a tyrant. February 8th, 2018, there were a J-Soc element. There was a J-Soc element with about 30 people in total.

That was a mix of like Delta Force guys, Rangers, I believe, and then also combat

controllers from the 24th Special Tactics Squadron, the Tier 1 Combat Control Union.
