Every summer, the Lay family has an annual week that we call How to Be a Person Camp.

This is something that I created back in 2020 when we were right smack in the middle of

the pandemic and we were stuck at home and looking for things to do, and I was trying

to navigate working from home and, you know, virtual school and just all the things with

the kids.

And I knew that if I could help them be a little bit more independent, then they could take

some things off of my plate and really help out the family some.

Plus, they just love the idea of learning things that helps them become a little more

grown up.

So, we created How to Be a Person Camp.

Now, obviously, none of these things make you a person.

But I wanted to create something that really, like, helped my kids become more independent

and allowed them to build up some confidence in themselves and their own abilities, outside
