0:44.0 | All right, so to start out with, how did you first get interested in reading fantasy and science fiction? |

0:53.6 | fiction since I was pretty little. So it's one of those things that's kind of |
0:57.4 | always been there, so and I'm not sure how I got interested in it. I heard you say |
1:02.1 | that your parents were not big science fiction fans? |
1:05.0 | They were not. They were big mystery novel fans, but they were not into science fiction. |
1:11.0 | They felt like science fiction was just about gadgets and stuff and couldn't really be real literature and they really kind of hoped I would grow out of it. |
1:19.2 | But somehow so it wasn't around the house I assume right but you somehow you found it in a library or school or something? |
1:25.0 | Probably in the library. I spent, I lived walking distance from the local library branch |
1:31.0 | when I was a kid and would go down there almost every Saturday and just hang. |

1:38.1 | And what were some of the authors that you were reading at that time? |
1:41.6 | At that time, I read almost everything that was on the shelf there, but that was when I discovered Andre Norton, big favorite of mine, for a very long time. |
