I'm Alicia. My name is Stacey and we are here with another sparkling breakup, not

divorce. This one came from a meetup that we had actually with several trash pants.

Oh, this is the one you're following up on today. Trashy.

So thanks to Tracy, Joyanna, Esther and Amy. We had a rollicking good time at an outdoor

patio. Safely as could be. And it was a great chat. This is Mary Louise Parker and Billy

Crudup featuring Claire Danes and an angry cab driver.

It was kind of a trashy breakup. Yeah. This one had missed my radar. So I was grateful for

the trash pandas to clue us in. Thanks everybody. Yeah. And I think it's because I have tremendous

affection for the work of all of these people. Like it, I think I just don't pay attention

for the bad stories about them. But you paid attention this week and this is your

Trashy Breakups for this holiday, popular episode. Yeah. Wrap yourself in mistletoe and

Alicia, people say that all is well, that ends well. But let's face it, there's a middle

part you got to go through. Ah, the middle part sucks. Can really, really suck. That sucky

middle part, that's the part we're going to focus on today. As we recount a pretty grim

period in the life of acclaimed and much awarded actress, deservedly so. Mary Louise Parker.

Mary Louise was the youngest of four children born to an army judge. So her early childhood

was very mobile as army rats often, often are there were stays in Tennessee, Texas, Thailand,

they were big on tea places, apparently, as well as Germany and France. And whether it was

the frequent moves or just her disposition, she was a quiet, bookish child who never really

felt comfortable like anywhere that she was. In 2003, she told Simon Fancha of the London

Sunday Times, quote, I don't ever remember wanting to be an actress before I knew what it was.
