All right, everybody. Welcome back to another edition of the 12 questions podcast. My name is Jeff Luck. I'm a writer for The Athletic.

And each week I ask the same 12 questions to a different race car driver.

Up next is Todd Gilland of Front Row Motorsports, who is in his second year driving in the NASCAR Cup series and has been doing quite well lately.

He had a run of top 15s going and then at Martinsville recently.

He was in the top 10, top five even, until he had an engine problem. So certainly outperforming

the preseason expectations for Gilliland at Front Row Motorsports. Also, it's always fun for me to

interview Todd Gillen because I first met him when I think he was six years old.

I was covering his dad, David Gillland, for the local newspaper in Southern California.

He was like our local driver, and he had two little kids at the time who are now grown up.

And that's really weird for me.

It makes me feel pretty old especially that

Todd is racing in the cup series now but always good to catch up with him so here is our conversation

I'm doing really good how are you good I'm excited to have you on. You've been on a roll lately.

And now we've got Talladega coming up. And who knows, you can always make some noise.

Well, you've been making noise everywhere lately, but maybe there as well. So listen, the first question here could be a tough one.

You have to pick one chore or obligation to do every single day for a year.

But if you make it doing this the entire year, you never have to do it again for the rest of your life.

So which would you like to pick?

I think this is an easy answer. I got to go with laundry.

I really don't mind it when you do it every day because then you don't let it get

piled up and then you only have like a few things to put away. But, oh, they'd be so nice
