So Kyle Larson's sort of the man in the moment lately in NASCAR. Gosh, he is so fun to watch. I was sitting up there at Bristol watching him lead that race the first 202

laps and then work through traffic and try to get his way back up there, trying to work the

high line in even though I was rooting for the bottom only for much of that race. I didn't want to

see a double file race, but it worked out to be the best race of the year, in my opinion.

But Kyle Larson is just, he's just so naturally talented, as Dale Jr. said at his retirement press conference, he's cool as a cucumber.

And he's also bluntly honest, so that makes him a good interview subject for the 12 questions.

And Kyle, the first question is, how much of your success is based on your natural ability

I would say up until I got to NASCAR, it was probably all natural and didn't have to work

at anything.

But once you get here, it's really tough and you have to, everybody else is working hard,

so you have to at least do it they're doing to try and become better.

And, you know, a lot of that, it like studying and and I still don't really work out but

tried doing that a little bit so it's become you know more of having to work for it when you get to

Well, I'm very similar to, well, I guess all of them kind of have an open-wheel background.
