President-elect Donald Trump is building his new administration from his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida,

moving forward with the mandate from the American people to shake things up.

CNN's Stephen Collinson explains.

Donald Trump may only be president-elect, but is already wielding power and dominating

Washington.

Trump ordered candidates for Republican Senate leader to help him bypass Congress to appoint

hardline cabinet picks.

To get a big job, candidates must be ultra-loyal to Trump and his make America great populism.

So he chose New York Representative Eli Stephanik as ambassador to the UN,

but former Secretary of Stoke Mike Pompeo is out. So is Trump's former primary opponent,

Nikki Haley. Federal workers are drilling Trump's promised purge of the bureaucracy to install

Magatru believers. And his new borders are, is Tom Homan, a Fox News commentator who backs mass deportations.

Krista, this is, of course, the worst nightmare of Trump's opponents, but a majority of voters

sent him back to the White House to unleash maximum disruption.

Two sources familiar with the plans tell CNN, Trump is expected to announce Stephen Miller

as Deputy

Chief of Staff for Policy. He's also the lead architect of Trump's plans for mass deportation

of undocumented immigrants. Immigration was a cornerstone of Trump's 2024 campaign, and he

repeatedly vowed to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. A source familiar with Trump's
