It's just kind of like a god tear kind of trolling, just to trigger a meltdown.

That's how Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania sees President-elect Donald Trump's

unconventional cabinet picks. And his pick for Attorney General,

former Congressman Matt Gates, is especially raising a lot of eyebrows. But the choice aligns with

Trump's goals he laid out on the campaign trail and what voters elected him to do, which is shake

things up in D.C. and go after his opponents. Does Gates have the votes in the Senate to be

confirmed?

Here's what Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal on the Judiciary Committee told reporters this morning.

I can name between five and ten Republicans

who are seriously considering voting against this nomination

and insisting that there be a vote.

How Speaker Mike Johnson told CNN this morning, he believed Trump's decision to pick Gates happened organically,

that Trump respects his legal acumen,

and that it was not related to a forthcoming ethics report.

Gates resigned immediately from the House for the Cabinet confirmation process,

possibly halting the release

of the report altogether.

Wholesale inflation picked up more than expected in October.

New federal data shows the producer price index was up 0.2% compared with the month before
