to buy Tik-Tock. Former Trump Treasury Secretary Steve Manuchin told NBC today he's interested in Tik Chinese company Two Choices.

Either sell TikTok to a US buyer or face a nationwide ban.

The bill now heads to the Senate where its passage is still uncertain.

If it becomes law, TikTok's parent company,

Bight Dance would have about five months to sell the app.

Manuchin and TikTok didn't immediately respond to CNN's

requests for comment.

Lawmakers supportive of the bill have argued Tik-Tok poses a national security threat

because the Chinese government could force Bight Dance to hand over the data of US app users.

Tik-Tok creators and users say a ban would violate their freedom of speech and

China described a potential ban as an act of
