Cassie Ventura has spoken out for the first time since her ex Sean Combs's apology video.

The rapper known as Diddy posted the video on Instagram Sunday, two days after CNN released disturbing footage

of him assaulting Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. The tape matches Ventura's

accusations in our lawsuit filed against Combs last year, but before it was released he had

denied that it ever happened.

Fancura put out a statement thanking people for their love and support, but she urged

everyone to believe victims when they first come forward.

She said, quote, I offer my hand to those who are still living in fear and, quote, no one should

carry this weight alone.

Ventura sued Combs, alleging he had raped her and subjected her to years of repeated physical

and other abuses over the course of their relationship. Combs denied the accusations and the

pair settled the case for an undisclosed amount.

He's also denied allegations in six other lawsuits he's facing,

five of which accused him of sexual assault, including one that was filed just this week.
