Welcome on to our post all-star break. Not quite 1560 Denver, Golden State, Utah. You guys are going to wait until tomorrow because we want to talk about some games involving those teams.

So let's begin. We'll go in order of record here in the Western

conference and that leads us to the team that has led the West most of the way in

the 23-24 season, the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Timberwolves.

That is correct.

And the Minnesota Timberwolves, as we record this, are 40 and 17,

5 and 2 since the last 15 and 60. They are third in the NBA, including the Glass Net

rating, plus 8.3 per 100 possessions. 16th in offense, numero uno in defense, where they have

been a lot of the air that is

propelling so much of the success and then ESPN's BPI projects them to

finish with a 57 win total which would be first in the west so BPI which

was skeptical earlier in the year has come around on the wolves even though it is a very

tight race we'll of course talk about that and Minnesota is going to make the playoffs.

Yeah it's seen some offensive improvement of late.

They did have a tough loss at home coming right out of the break to the box

without Chris Middleton, where they only scored 13 points in the third quarter and I thought that was a little bit interesting

Anthony Edwards has struggled in his two games after the break but you would imagine he would get it going

he really struggled and then he hit a couple of

really difficult threes that made that game against the bucks closer than it would have seemed right at the end.

But Anthony Edwards as one of the best shooting guard prospects that we've seen has been compared to Michael Jordan and he of course sloughed off those comments earlier
