Hey everybody and welcome back to I Just Want to Talk About the Bible. If this is your first time

joining us, let me introduce myself. My name is Christian Keeter and I live in North

Carolina on the east coast of the U.S. with my beautiful wife and daughters, and I am on staffed

an international discipleship ministry called Mentoring Men for the Master. So in this episode,

we are just going to be talking about Psalm 107 a little bit. You've heard me reference Psalm 107

in previous episodes, and it is a,

it's worthy of an entire episode, especially because recently I feel like the Lord's really just

been speaking to me through it. And I want to just share with you what he has shown me in this.

And hopefully it will be encouraging to you, building to you, and for some of you, hopefully it will be encouraging to you building to you and for some of you um

hopefully it'll be very very hopeful and so this is psalm 107 um quick overview of psalm 107 it's it's

it's set up in a really cool way it's got an introduction in verses one two and three and then it's got kind of an outro in versus 33 through 43.

But in the middle section, there are four stanzas, I guess you could call them, that describe people

in completely different circumstances, but in each of the four stanzas,

although the circumstances are completely different, there are two verses that are repeated,

verbatim in all of them. And so it's a very cool song and it's very hopeful. And so let's just

get into this. We're going to read through it we're

going to pause and talk about it along the way and i want to draw some points so psalm letter 7 verse 1

introduces the whole theme of the entire song uh psalm it says oh give thanks to the lord for he is good

for his steadfast love indoors forever and so what is the point of this psalm what is it talking about it's talking about the steadfast love endures forever. And so what is the point of this Psalm?

What is it talking about?

It's talking about the steadfast love of the Lord.

Your Bible might say his loving kindness.
