Hi, just got back from a pay flag meeting.

Now can you tell everyone what pay flag is?

Pay flags, parents, families and friends, obvious beings and guys and it's an

organization for allies and members of the LGBT community.

That's right and you are the president?

I am, I'm president of pay flag, Gaston.

Well that's very cool mom. That's kind of why I wanted to do this episode of my podcast with you.

I thought it would be a cool idea to do an episode about coming out to your parents and

I was going to talk a little bit about my journey of coming out to my parents and then I was going to have my mom

talk a little bit about what it was like to have a child come out of the closet and you know hopefully

there are people out there who relate to this and that they either have come out or

thinking of coming out maybe they're a parent maybe you have a friend I think everybody knows somebody who

was gay so at some point people have experienced this situation.

I've had friends come out to me so yeah here we are.

I've told the story a few times but I was a bit of a late bloomer.
