1:01.1	Many of us already know that out of struggle comes growth. So many charities are built on that
1:07.8	foundation alone, struggling to answer a specific call or need. But now, in the
1:13.6	face of uncertain economic times, the already-leenly run charities you know and love can really
1:19.9	struggle to even exist. Smaller charities without large endowments from foundations are often
1:26.4	the self-funded passion projects of inspired
1:29.4	individuals who simply feel they must give back. We've heard about a few like this, including
1:35.4	Love Without Borders for Refugees and Need, and the Cornel Dystrophy Foundation that we covered in
1:40.2	episode six. The point is this, just because these charities are small doesn't mean their work
1:45.5	is unimportant. Just thinking of these two examples helps you see how critical the work they do can be.
1:52.3	While some charities are singularly focused, others are a little more general, providing funds
1:57.6	and resources to numerous other organizations that vitally need support.
