2018, a year in many ways which has been significant, the way 1968 was significant, a year of real upheaval and shaking. In America and around the world, 50 years later, 2018 has been quite a year. I want to talk to you about

upheaval in America and even in other nations during the 60s. It was a tumultuous time. It was a revolutionary time. One sociologist

commented to me that it was to be expected in that after World War II, as couples now were

getting married, as babies were being born, that now when you get into the 60s, you have a large number of young people.

And the sociologist said to me, it's sociology 101, that when you have an unusually large

number of young people born in a given generation, that that will also produce a lot more upheaval, a lot more societal shifts and things like that.

Young people tend to push back against boundaries more,

and there can often be more violence and more challenge of authority and things like that.

That is largely what happened in the 60s, and in many ways, it was a tumultuous time around the
