And we begin with 33-year-old American Colano Brady accomplishing something no one has done before.

He skied from one side of Antarctica to the other, alone.

For 54 days, O'Bredy battled icy winds, zero visibility, and temperatures dropping to minus 40 degrees

Fahrenheit, all while hauling a 300-pound sled carrying supplies. He spent half of everyday skiing with music and

podcast to keep him company and when he rested he ate upwards of 8,000 calories

a day. O'Bredy completed the final 80 miles of the epic 932 mile journey with a 32-hour

no sleep push that began Christmas morning. He calls those hours the most challenging of his life.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is once again doing her best to bounce back from a health scare. The 85 year old judge

returned home Tuesday to recover from surgery to remove two cancerous spots from

her lungs. Those spots were found during a routine test to check on the ribs she broke when

she fell in November. It is her third bout with the disease. She's already beaten colon and pancreatic

cancer. In the past, Justice Ginsburg has said she will serve

on the Supreme Court as long as she's able and has suggested retirement is

still five years away. Fortunately she has some time for R&R. The court is on a holiday break

until January 4th. To protect and serve is a motto many police officers live by.

Last Saturday, officers with the Suffolk County Police Department

got the chance to do both in the same day.

One of their first calls was to a car accident. At the scene, a slightly

mangled car, a flat tire, and a well-dressed couple soon to be late for their own

wedding. Sergeant Kennedy wouldn't hear of it.
