lean into the conformist impulse of normalcy. God forbid you'd want to be normal.

Right. Well, just be entertained for a couple hours. Watch the movie. This guiding hand of normalcy

drives the narratives and unsurprisingly, that idea of normalcy doesn't have a lot of room for

the true diversity of the American experience. This type of messaging fits neatly in the authoritarian
