that line has been crossed with alarming frequency. More than 40 percent now take five or more

prescription drugs a day. Isn't that crazy, Austin? That's nuts. A three-fold increase from two decades ago, nearly one in five takes 10 drugs or more. The most I've ever seen, son, is I had a man come in years ago. He was taking 25 prescriptions. He came in with a brown paper bag, big bag, and put it on my desk and dumped it upside down. And he had 25 prescriptions.

Now, here's the problem. I didn't know how to handle that. Yeah. How do you handle that? No, you can't. Yeah. No. And I said to him, I said, I suggest that you go back to whoever gave you these drugs and get off of these drugs. How can you possibly know as a doctor? You know. What interactions, 12 different pharmaceutical drugs.

This is 25.
