This story I saw the other day, and it happened, we're talking to a lot of cities, so I'm trying to explain what this road's like. Every city's got an area that's a main thoroughfare through their town, not necessarily a highway, but you can get going pretty good

in it. And in Omaha, it's called Dodge Street. And a cop timed a motorcycle going

178. In a 55. I saw this post. 178. And what I loved about the post the most was the cop realized chasing is dangerous and didn't do anything. Yep. There's no way you're going to catch him. No, you're not going to catch them. But, you know, a lot of cops would step on it and try to get to go 140 just to see what happened. And the guy did the right thing because he would have killed other people, including maybe himself, by chasing this guy. They probably just radio ahead. I don't know if they caught the guy. Or they just let him go. Post just said that the trooper, the officer was unable to safely pursue the suspect. That was it. That's all I saw about it. And I haven't read him getting arrested yet. What time of day was it? Daylight, yeah. So there were a lot of traffic around? Because usually they'll go after somebody if they're weaving in and out of traffic. Where he was at, there's always traffic. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. There's the place that they clocked this dude. I lived right off John Street for years.

I know exactly what I'm talking about.

If there's a helicopter out, would they send the helicopter that way? I don't even. You know what, though? I think at that point, it's just, it is a motor. It wasn't a car. So he's basically risking his own life. granted he could hurt you could knock another car and do something weird. But I'm guessing the cops just figured, hey, he's going to get out. At least he's heading out of town. Whatever. What are we going to do? 178? Cars don't go 178. Well, some do, but probably no police intercept. No, police cars go, they don't go 178. I think I saw last night on the local news.

There was, you know, holiday weekend, you know, extra law enforcement.

There were speed traps, things like that, DUI checkpoints.

But they said, like, in four days or something, they pulled over 60 people or something that were going over 100.

Like, it was an insane number of people that were pulled over for doing in excess of 100 miles an hour.

Is it still people?

Police cars can generally reach speeds of at least 150 miles an hour, some going going over 170. And the cop made the right decision. The Montserratia. How would I step on this and chase that guy? That's 185. Your face is a Monterey. That's what they need. So some specialized police cars can go over 200. Once again, the guy made the right decision. Yeah. Yeah. A chase at that speed is unsafe for everybody involved. Right. Innocent people die when a cop chases people with those at that speed. Any speed for that money. You see it all the time, you know.
