Welcome back to Beyond College Basketball Podcast.

I got Matt Norland here with me in the biggest story in college basketball past couple of

days.

The story at least creating the most national headlines is the war words between Rick Barnes and

Penny Hardaway, which culminated with Penny Hardaway telling Rick Barnes to quote, get

the F adder here.

First year Memphis coach hit Barnes with the GTFOH and for those who aren't up to date,

let me recap this story for you.

Here's my briefest version I think.

So in the final minute of last Saturday's game between Memphis and Tennessee at FedEx

forum Jordan Bone and Alex Lomax exchange words about something which led to Jeremiah

Martin getting in Jordan Bone's face which led to the Tennessee bench trickling onto the

court which led the technical files for Jordan Bone, Alex Lomax and Jeremiah Martin.

So after the game, Penny Hardaway was asked about the situation like what happened.

And he basically said Alex Lomax isn't the type of kid to trash talk so that means Jordan

Bone must have disrespected him and Alex wasn't going to be disrespected on his home court.

He then said the Tennessee players quote, ran over to fight with their fist ball, though.

So this got a lot of attention.

It was a headline everywhere on Saturday night so much so that one of my editors, our editors

Marcus Nelson texted me and he was like, so what happened in this Memphis?

Tennessee game.
