North Carolina announced Tuesday, less than 30 hours before its game at Gonzaga, that Cole Anthony had surgery for a torn meniscus in his right knee. He'll be out 4-6 weeks. Six and four right now, clearly the Roy Williams era has been outstanding since he arrived there.

But only once since he got there did they not make the tournament and that was 2009, 2010.

That team went 20 and 17, 5 and 11 in the ACC.

That team had Larry Drew at Davis. Tyler Zeller was a sophomore. John Henson was a freshman. Leslie MacDonald was a freshman.

Dexter Strickland was a freshman on that team. That's the only time that North Carolina has not made the NCAA's under Roy Williams.
