You know, it's really, really interesting. You can discuss

issues with people quoting scripture back and forth, people who say they are Christians,

people who say they're followers of Jesus. And then when you press them, and what the Bible actually

says, when you press them about the plain meaning of

scripture, some of them say, well, God's bigger than a book, or who says the Bible is the

final authority? And suddenly, the real issues come to light. And you realize the question is not

one of, how do we interpret this particular scripture, but what authority does God have in my life through his word?
