How the hell did we get here, Connor, Bill Belichick and North Carolina, how did we get here?

Well, I mean, I think we know for a fact that he was very interested in NFL jobs in August and September. I think he was eyeing those opportunities, but the closer we got to

the hiring cycle, I think the closer he or the more he realized that he needed to line up

some potential other opportunities.

And North Carolina gave him the perfect chance to suss out any last-minute interest on behalf of the NFL

or simply present UNC with his dream scenario, which it seems like they gave him in contract form.
