And we begin with cleanup and concern in Japan this morning following a massive 7.5 magnitude earthquake.

The shaker hit off the country's northeast coast

Monday evening, local time, triggering tsunami warnings and evacuation orders for approximately 90,000

residents. There's reportedly damage, none of it major, but the worry now is for follow-up quakes.

A week-long advisory for more shaking is in effect.

Japan is one of the most earthquake-prone countries on the planet due to its location on the

ring of fire, which is an undersea horseshoe-shaped region where tectonic plates collide, creating

deep trenches, active volcanoes, and plenty of seismic activity.
