And we begin with Rudolph on the run, a massive reindeer named Buddy, taking part in a Christmas event near Liverpool, England, apparently wasn't feeling as festive as his reindeer friends and gave his handlers at Santa's Enchanted Forest the slip. The four-legged fugitives sparked an eight-hour search and rescue operation last weekend involving

police, the Coast Guard, and even the Royal Marines, according to a Facebook post from the Southport

Offshore Rescue Trust. He was spotted trotting near a grammar school, but searchers lost him as night

fell. In the dark, it took a team using thermal binoculars to find him on a nearby beach

where a vet, supported by the Marines, helped him to safety. As the statement from the trust said,

Christmas is saved, thanks to great work from multiple agencies. California is hoping to take a

historic legal bite out of unhealthy food.
