Now, we've got some catching up to do babes. First of all, huge news broke this week that Lifetime is premiering Doomsday Mom on June 26th, which obviously from the title is telling the story of Laurie Valow and Chad Debel. I cannot fucking wait. I know I've seen some comments, seen some backlash already, but this is a massive story, and I cannot wait to watch this after covering the case so closely last year with all of you. I mean, come on, we did four episodes on it. I think there was a little leader to thrown in there.

Somebody in the comments on the Instagram post was like, can we have a livestream after whatever? And I want to figure out if there's a way we can do a watch party together. Let me know in the comments actually on today's post. If that's what's the easiest way for me to do a watch party with all of you guys, I need to figure out how to make that happen. But we have until June, so trust me, it's happening.

The actors, of course, look nothing like Chad and Laurie because, well, come on. The woman playing Laurie is this actress, and her name is Lauren Lee Smith. I looked her up. She's most known for her role as Riley Adams on CSI. And playing Chad is this guy named Mark Bluckis, who played Riley Finn and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And he's also kind of hunky looking. And maybe it's just the promo picture that they used. Maybe they're going to make him bloated and gross for the movie.

Like Chad Dave L. But the article I read also said that Linda Pearl and Patrick Duffy will be in it as well. But says Lifetime didn't say which characters they'll be portraying. But she looks kind of like Melanie Gibb, Laurie's former BFF.

So I feel like she's going to play her and then Patrick I'm assuming because he's pretty famous. We'll play JJ's grandfather. What was his name? Come on guys. Come on.

I'm Gary Woodcock. He'll play Larry Woodcock. I'm guessing also keeping me up right now is this website that a Colt babe named Riley posted in the Facebook group. It's called HouseCreepe.com. And here's the jest. It shows you like weird shit that's happened in your neighborhood or apartment, even your own house from like murders, deaths, even paranormal stuff. So I don't know. Now without further ado, let's get to some story. Shall we? The subject line of this email was wait, hold on. Let's talk about how fun it was having Madison on for a little leader. My name is Kelsey. And I've been a long time listener to your podcast. Every update brings me a little boost of serotonin I need to get through the day. Thank you, Kelsey.

So let's start off this story. I must tell you that I am from a little unnamed for my privacy town near the Mexican border. This is important to the story because as Mexicans, we believe in superstitions and are faced with the dangers of the cartel on a daily basis.

This story isn't actually mine, but is my mother's and she has given me permission to share it with the world. When my mother was a teenager in the 70s and 80s, she lived in a small house with my grandparents near a small patch of Monta.

I'm not sure what it's called in English, but to describe it, it's like a small wooded area full of mosquito trees and other things. Across their house lived another family and my mom's friends.

One summer night, my mom was sitting on her porch with her friends just talking and gossiping as teenagers do when one of the girls covered her mouth and pointed out towards the woods.

The girls saw a woman crawling on all fours out of the darkness. Fuck that. My mother could only describe her as a skinny thing with long black hair and wearing completely black clothes, almost like a spider.

As the teenagers watched in horror tears streaming from their eyes, they witnessed the woman crawl up to a car at the house across the street. She didn't notice the girls there and they watched her as she fiddled with the trunk.

Then suddenly, the porch light of that house turned on, scaring the woman who then ran back into the woods still on all fours.

Oh, nope. My mother and her friends ran inside to tell my grandmother who was obviously very skeptical of the whole thing. She wrote it down as the wild imagination of teenagers.

A few days later, the son of the people who lived in the house across the street was found dismembered in the car's trunk.

The police wrote it down as cartel business gone wrong, but my mom never bought that 100%. The spider woman must have been involved in one way or another.

What? Years later, my mom has three children and we're all grown. My grandma tells us a story of how our great grandmother, who was a known white witch in the area, was watering the street with a watering hose, a few houses down where the same woods were.

Screaming, saying how there was a woman on all fours hiding in the bushes. At the time, my grandmother, who was a child, thought she was losing it.
