Hi everybody, this is Joe Lample, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and welcome to the Joe

Gardner Show.

You know, no matter where you garden, chances are really good that you struggle with damage

from deer.

I live on my five acre garden farm north of Atlanta, Georgia, and let me tell you,

I've lost many a plant to hungry deer, but the thing is, they can be just as prevalent

in the midst of urban spaces too.

I used to live in North Carolina in a small urban neighborhood that had never seen deer

before, and the 50 years the neighborhood existed until I moved in, of course, and started

my garden, came back from vacation one day, and a deer is browsing through the backyard.

First time anyone in that neighborhood that's lived their all their life has ever seen

it, but that's just thing.

They're more prevalent than ever.

So unless your garden is situated on a balcony or rooftop, a story or two above the landscape,

you're probably battling at least the occasional browsing deer too.

They may be great jumpers, but at least they can't fly, right?

So maybe you've turned a deer resistant plants as a solution.
