Hello there, welcome to The Bowry Boys. This is Greg Young.

And this is Tom Myers.

You guys have asked for it, and we're finally doing a show.

On one of the most popular places in New York, the main destination, if you are a tourist,

and the place where millions of people stream through every day.

That would of course be Crossroads of the World, Times Square.

And why is it, Greg, that we put off doing this show for so long?

I mean, we're now at our third holiday episode, and we finally decided to tackle this,

because it's, of course, seasonally relevant, but I feel like we've been putting it off.

Well, the history is very complicated, and we can get lost on so many tangents

that this could be a nine-part episode or a nine-hour show.

Because when you're talking about Times Square, you could be talking about so many different things.

There's an actual square, or in intersection, there's the theater district,

there's 42nd Street, there are all these different things.

And I'd like to add that maybe another reason that we've taken our time to finally get to this topic

is living here in New York for a while.
