I now officially declare that the war on the war on Christmas is on.

Welcome everyone to the award-winning Best of a Left podcast with another of our annually

traditional war on Christmas episodes.

The only major difference this year being that I want to start off with just a little bit

of eating our vegetables before we get to the dessert as we discuss some racism today.

That is nowhere near as fun as when they were insisting that Santa and Jesus were both

white.

So that's what we're going to start off with and then we'll get into the more delicious

reports from the front lines of the war on Christmas that I know you have come to

know and love.

So we have close today from intersection, the Young Turks, the majority report, I love

you America with Sarah Silverman, CNN and a classic from the Colbert Report.

In the Netherlands, Santa has a companion named Zwart Pete or Black Pete.

The tradition is celebrated by the Dutch in the way some Americans still celebrate Halloween

by wearing black face and big curly wigs and enacting like a fool.

And having for bid, you tell the Dutch this is racially offensive.
