Summary

In this episode, Brian Tracy shares the common denominator or the shared attributes among successful people.

According to Brian Tracy, successful people held a firm and absolute belief that they’re destined for great success. They kept on going and never stopped believing that they can do great things, and so they did. Brain explains how successful people did not succumb to self-limiting beliefs. Instead, they saw challenges and failures as room for improvement, an opportunity for further growth and development.

Overall, Brain highlights the great power in believing. As the Bhagavad Gita states, “Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so is he.” At the end of the day, all that we are is a result of what we have thought.

Welcome back to the Quotin of the Day Show. I'm your host, Sean Crox and Sean Crox and

Taccom. We got Brian Tracy on the show talking about how your beliefs and your expectations

0:46.5

become your life. Hey, there's a part of your brain called the basal ganglia. And one of

0:53.0

the things that it's responsible for is getting you into action. But there's one thing that

0:59.4

your basal ganglia needs to spark your actions, which is this. You got to believe in yourself.

1:07.4

You have to believe that your goal is possible. So if you don't believe in yourself, you don't

1:11.2

believe that your goal is possible, that you can achieve it. The basal ganglia, like the

1:15.7

switch that turns it on, it doesn't, it doesn't flip. And so when it doesn't flip, when

1:20.3

it doesn't turn on, then you're less likely to get into action. So you have to believe

1:26.3

in yourself. You have to believe that it's possible and you have to expect that it's going

1:31.7

to happen. Here's Brian.

1:34.5

So the law of belief says that we act based on our beliefs, even though we have self-limiting

1:39.3

beliefs. Now, here's a very interesting point is that no one's born with any beliefs.

1:44.3

Every belief you have about yourself, your potential, the world, religion, politics,

1:49.2

people, anything, every belief you had, you had to be taught meticulously with very

1:54.7

careful instruction repeated over and over again. The worst of all beliefs are self-limiting

1:59.3

beliefs. Now, self-limiting beliefs are beliefs where you believe yourself to be limited in

2:04.9

some way. And so the starting point of using the law of belief on your behalf is, first

2:11.6

of all, you ask yourself, what beliefs would it be useful or helpful to me to have? And

2:18.7

imagine that you could go to the belief store and buy a belief like a piece of software
