Tom Maker, we are here to talk about what has probably been the most secretive bait slash method that I can remember mate and that is the humble worm yes now shrouded in secrecy for best part of I don't know seven eight years mate perhaps yeah I would say even a bit further back than that as well. Yeah.

Yeah, it's, I think one of the biggest reasons is it's because so many car panglers just,

you all started fishing using a natural bait, you know, a worm, a maggot, a castor or whatever,

but it seems like when it comes to using him on a larger scale, on bigger lakes, that people sort of shied away from them. And obviously, as you've just said

there, like, it's such a, it's such a simple bait, a humble worm, you know, they're growing

all around us in the ground, you know, you go in the garden, they're there, you, anywhere you go,

there's a worm, but they are as natural as natural can possibly be um and you know with within carp fishing they are such a deadly bait to add to your mix and i will and i will say that as well add to

your mix you know this isn't a case of thumping kilos and kilos and kilos in. Like a lot of people say you have to do, they are a bait that you can use as an additive. And I think that's obviously where a lot of sort of talk has happened over the years and sort of not keeping it quiet because it's obviously

it was a huge edge but it's yeah it's a it's a very a controversial subject should we say

and I think there's two things to touch on first of all because we're going to keep this really

really short we're going to keep this very very concise for people there's two things I want

to talk about why they're as good as they are why or why you believe they are as good as they are. And the second and perhaps the thing that follows best on from what you just said is this idea that actually the more money you spend on naturals now, especially on that match circuit, the more likely you are to win. And you're going to tell me that that's not right,

I think. Because you hear about hundreds of kilos going into all of these match venues. Which is, in my opinion, ridiculous. It's a show of strength, you know. And like we were saying before, you know, it's going back to the match anglers. A lot of the type of this is talking about, i mean you're talking about your seatbox match anglers here not your cart match anglers a lot of the type of this is talking about I'm you talking about your seatbox

they have extremely good understanding of how fish feed they have a very good understanding of how

the bait works and ultimately they have the best understanding of how to feed it and how to feed it given the

conditions that they're faced with now when you're doing that say if you're pole fishing up to

16 meters you haven't got as much water to focus on as what you would do if you as a carp angler
