| 0:57.6 | But for the most part, people go to work and they come home and they don't suffer mentally |

| 1:07.1 | The big exception to this are the people who work in emergency situations. |
| 1:12.7 | Firefighters, police officers, EMS. |
| 1:16.4 | These people are subjected to traumatic situations as a normal part of their job. |
| 1:23.3 | And included in that group are 9-1-1 emergency dispatchers. |
| 1:28.0 | In fact, there's a growing movement that includes legislation to get rid of the common |
| 1:33.8 | job title call takers. |
| 1:36.8 | Instead, 9-1-1 dispatchers are increasingly being recognized as first responders. |
| 1:44.2 | And they're getting more access to mental health care because of what they experience |
| 1:48.9 | in their work. |
