Hi everybody, welcome back to the podcast. I'm so excited today. I'm so excited to introduce to you some of our students from Life Mentoring School. They are going to share their stories today. Their stories of freedom, of transformation, of parts of their lives that maybe they have struggled with and found hope and found answers and so I'm really really

excited to introduce you to them and I know that you're gonna adore them I

know that you're gonna find so much hope and inspiration in their stories so I'm

gonna introduce I'm actually gonna let them introduce themselves and then we

are gonna ask them some questions they're

each going to share a little bit about their own story how they came into

life mentoring school what they came to work on and maybe sort of their biggest

takeaway and then after everybody does that we're going to ask them some questions about something

that people ask me all the time is like oh i'm not that familiar with coaching like what is

how is it different from counseling like why would i choose a coach um i'm almost embarrassed to say

i have a coach so we're going to address that and then share

some specific like freedom stories at the end so we will start with my friend

Nancy Nancy Cooper Nancy will you introduce yourself tell us what you do maybe

tell us how long you've been in life mentoring school and the story that you want to share

as far as your biggest takeaway. Okay, sure. I'm Nancy Cooper and I have been in LMS since July,

so I'm a newbie. We love newbies, by the way. It has been so amazing. I am the director of academics at a small Christian school,

close to where I live, and love my job. Before that, I was an elementary school principal,

and I truly just found myself working way too many hours, like embarrassing number of hours.

And I didn't realize it, but I was doing it to hide or to avoid some other things.

You know, the pain, the suffering, the grief, or whatever I was dealing with,

I would just run to work.

It was familiar.
