All right. Okay, guys, welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the We're Having a Good Time podcast.

My name's Dusty Slay. I'm here alone doing a podcast. It's been a while. I've been doing,

you know, podcast here and there, various people's podcasts. But to do my own podcast, it's been a while.

But, and I don't even know what's happening.

It's not that I necessarily needed a break, not this long, but it's, you know, it's like,

you get out of the routine of doing a thing and then you're like, oh, I've been doing this every week for over a year.

And then you're like, oh, man, I just, I'm out of things to say.

And I just think that's what happens.

I'm like, I'm doing another podcast weekly.

And then I'm just running around the country, telling jokes to people.

And I'm just like, I'm out telling jokes to people, and I'm just like,

I'm out of stuff to say. And I don't even know if I have things to say now, I do. But the problem

is I don't write them down. And then I come on the podcast and I go, what will I talk about?

And then I was writing a book. I do have a book deal. I don't

know how it's going. I think it's going well. But, you know, I got my first notes. But for a while,

I was writing this book. So I was writing all these stories about my life. And I'm like, well,

now those stories are on my mind.

But I don't want, I can't, I can't just tell the stories if I'm writing them in the book.

And that's the problem with the book these days is, well, first off, I don't feel like

anybody's reading.

I think they would read my book.

But in general, I think we're at a place where people are not reading that much.
