And today we're going to talk about the five elements,

rejuvenation, and the diet and the foods that help you rejuvenate.

We're also going to talk about some of the physical activities that you could do

to help your body prosper. So in this podcast, we're going to talk about

and review what the five elements mean.

So in previous podcasts, we had discussed about an element that can describe a person.

So in Chinese medicine, there is five elements that are used to describe

everything in the world. Basically, you have wood, fire, earth,

metal, water, returning back to wood. So that's the five.

So when we're talking about five elements, think of it this way. It's called the

constructive cycle. And there's a destructive cycle in Chinese medicine.

But the constructive cycle is used to talk about the construction of the world.

So if you have wood, you chop the wood down with metal. We'll get back to that.

But we take the wood pieces, put it into the fire. The fire burns it.

Then that wood turns into ash and it becomes earth.

And then the earth starts to make that dirt carbon and make it mineral. So it becomes metals.

And then the metals go into what the water, the earth, the groundwater.
