Welcome back to another episode of Trail Tales.

My name is Kyle Grady.

I'm a through-hacker.

I'm also a weirdo

and I'm getting weirder with every introduction I record for this podcast. Every single week

on the show, I chat with other through hikers and other peakbackers and other hiking nerds

about their experiences on the trail. Russell Corfman is back on the show and I say back because he is a previous

guest from a long time ago. We'll get into that at the very start of the episode, but I'm

super stoked to welcome him back. He's like the PCT, he's set a bunch of other stuff. He's a

West coaster, so it's a little bit different than me over here in the

green tunnel, so to speak. We do talk quite a bit about some West Coast hiking, and we also

talk quite a bit at the beginning of the episode about trail names and the weirdness of them,

and how some people like Russell actually don't take trail names. It's not because he has anything

against them, but just because you'll have to just listen to understand what I'm talking about.

I'm not going to do them justice by explaining it now. But yeah, trail names are a cool little

discussion we have and it was just fun. It's always fun. These episodes are always great and Russell

is a longtime supporter of my content which I really appreciate.
