So optimism has been defined as a tendency to expect positive outcomes and confidence about

future improvements. For example, this year I made a lot of Christmas presents by hand,

including bath bombs for some of my friends and family. I bought

all the ingredients to make bath bombs. I ordered the moulds and special bath bomb colours online.

I researched a heap of different recipes and decided what would work best and every step of the way

I believed it would all work out. I felt excited about creating these beautiful

bath bombs and giving them to some of the people that I love. Anyway, my partner deck, who tends to be a bit

more realistic, was noticing that it was getting close to Christmas and the bath bombs were taking a lot

of time and it wasn't guarantee that they were going to work, which was true. I'd never made

them before. I was running out of time and I didn't know how it was all going to turn out. But I was

feeling really optimistic about it and kept hoping for the best. Luckily for me, the recipe did work

and I made some beautiful bath bombs but I didn't quite reach my original optimistic
