heroes, you are just right up at the top of them, man. Like I'm just, I'm always geeking out

on what you're doing. I'm just, every time I see a video of you on Instagram or YouTube or you

obviously, you've been touring with Corey and the Funk Apostles. Every time

I'm like a schoolboy.

how did you even start playing the base in the first place

anyway?

Man, I wanted to play sacks.

You know, this is like in the 80s you know this is when like

david Sam born Kenny G everybody was like getting all the girls playing

sax I'm gonna play sacks

but everybody wanted to play sax so there were no more

saxes available so you know my dad's like no no no you play bass

and uh so they gave me a bass and I'm thinking I was gonna play electric but you know back dad's like no no no you play bass and uh so they gave me a bass and i'm thinking

i was going to play electric but you know back in that time you started on upright so right

okay um sorry right a passage you can't start the upright yeah yeah yeah started on upright we

called it legit so you know we um i started on legit and um then like a year later i started

playing electric too so yeah
