I keep thinking that safety is turning into the most important position defensively on the field.

Because if you look at the teams that win the Super Bowl, going back really to 2000,

they've always had a good one, whether it be Bob Sanders and the Colts,

or the two guys with New Orleans or Palomalu or McCordie or Rodney, lawyer back here. We could go on and on Charles Woodson with the Packers. It's the most important position, I think, sometimes to the defense.

Yeah, I totally agree. I mean, if you think about it when there were injuries, even when I got hurt,

who did they give the green dot to? They gave it to McCordy, right? Or these guys can communicate.

Steve Gregory had it for a little bit, right? These guys can do different things.

But I think even to kind of drill down a little more, right, I think, you know, I think the

most important position. I would say linebacker still, because at the same time a safety

can't talk to a defense alignment. Even if he's in the box, he has zero clue.

No matter how smart you think these guys are.

They are smart.

But there isn't another position on the field where, on the defensive side of the ball,

where they have this all-encompassing view of what the offense is trying to do.

I can control the defense.

I can control where the ball is going to go.

And when I say that, if I want the ball to go wide, like if I, it's a run play, I'll just rip these two defense alignment in.

I'll have them stun inside.

Everybody's stunned inside.
