listening to Attitudes ADHD expert broadcast. One of the most difficult aspects of attention deficit can be finding a medical

professional who's qualified and able to correctly diagnose both ADHD and its coexisting conditions.

We've talked often about coexisting conditions. We've talked often about coexisting conditions, very common with ADHD, and even

once you have a correct diagnosis, establishing an effective treatment plan can be frankly no small challenge.

So today we're especially pleased to welcome back Dr. William Dodson to discuss ADHD

diagnosis and treatment mistakes that doctors often make. Dr. Dotson will tell us why ADHD is often

as diagnosed as anxiety as bipolar disease,

as OCD or another disorder,

and he'll also take your questions

and talk about common

medication pitfalls and how to avoid them. You may have heard Dr. Dawson speak

before. He is a member of our advisory board and he value his opinions

enormously. He's a board certified adult psychiatrist

who specialized in adult ADHD for over 25 years he's in private practice in

Denver Colorado where he's a life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association,

and the recipient of the Maxwell J. Schleper Distinguished National Service Award for his

work with people with disabilities.
